O’Connell Electric Company is seeking a Junior Estimator for utility electrical construction in Rochester, NY. You will assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for substations, transmission, and distribution projects.
You’ll collaborate with project managers and estimators, review plans, gather quotes, maintain records, and learn estimating software under senior guidance. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential.
O’Connell Electric’s Utility Estimators are responsible for producing comprehensive estimates for substation, transmission and distribution projects. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately assess project requirements, evaluate costs, and provide competitive bids to secure projects. Estimators collaborate closely with project managers and other electrical construction professionals to develop accurate and timely estimates and support the development of complete project proposals.
The minimum and maximum hourly rates that O’Connell Electric Company believes in good faith to be accurate for this position at the time of this posting is $24.30 - $29.40 per hour.
