Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Junior Estimator to join our multifamily development and in-house construction team in Chicago. You will assist in preparing conceptual and detailed estimates for multifamily developments and support cost analysis across the project lifecycle.

You will work with ownership and development teams, gaining exposure to underwriting, design, budgeting, and execution. A 1–5 year background and strong Excel skills are preferred in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in estimating, construction, or project engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing conceptual and detailed project estimates for multifamily developments
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing using plans, specs, and early design documents
• Support bid solicitation and leveling with subcontractors and suppliers
• Analyze project costs, budgets, and value engineering opportunities
• Collaborate with development, preconstruction, and operations teams
• Help maintain historical cost data and estimating databases
• Participate in project handoff meetings to operations teams
