Job summary

BlueTeam is seeking a Junior Estimator to join our Preconstruction team in the Florida market. Working under senior staff, you’ll support quantity takeoffs, cost research, trade-partner solicitation, and proposal documentation for commercial renovation and CapEx projects.

This entry‑level role offers hands‑on growth, exposure to roofing, restoration, and reconstruction, and a path toward independent estimating. We value aptitude and growth potential, not pedigree.

Qualifications

Basic construction math skills and cost extensions.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Clear written and verbal communication.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Review project information and perform quantity takeoffs for assigned trades.
Assist with cost research, unit costs, and cost components under supervision.
Help develop bidder lists and invitation-to-bid packages with senior staff.
Assist with drafting scope narratives, inclusions, exclusions, and proposal qualifications.
Support turnover meetings and communicate estimate assumptions to the team.
Ensure safety, quality, and continuity considerations are included in estimates.
