McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to join our Preconstruction team. The role involves reviewing plans and specifications, taking-off quantities, pricing with subcontractors, and supporting bid development for diverse projects.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver accurate estimates and contribute to value-driven bids within a culture that emphasizes our core values of Genuine, We, Not I, All In.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related major.
• Experience with estimating software and BIM tools.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity take-offs and cost estimation tasks.
• Assists in pricing and bidding of construction projects.
• Communicates scope with architects/consultants and documents clarifications.
• Directs subcontractor coordination and prepares subcontract exhibits.
• Participates in bid review and GMP budgeting activities.
• Maintains bid information for future reference.
• Aids field operations with change order pricing as needed.
