Job summary

HTU in Sanford, FL is seeking an Estimating Assistant to support the Estimating Department by handling project files, bid documents, and Salesforce data management. You will help with organizing plans and coordinating subcontractor inputs for accurate proposals.

You will set up takeoffs in On-Screen Takeoff, assemble cut sheets, and maintain project records. Strong Excel/Word/Outlook skills and at least 1 year in construction are preferred.

Qualifications

• Reading construction plans and performing take-offs.
• Familiarity with construction bidding portal websites.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu preferred.
• Experience with Titan ERP is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently.
• Minimum one (1) year of construction industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Estimating Department with managing projects, including obtaining, reviewing, organizing, and filing construction plans.
• Support the preparation of bid documents such as project schedules, product take-offs, project scope sheets, and subcontractor/vendor coordination.
• Set up projects in On-Screen Takeoff software for estimating purposes.
• Assemble applicable cut sheets and assist in preparing proposal packages.
• Build and maintain contact databases through Salesforce CRM.
• Record and maintain project and customer information within Salesforce.
• Communicate project-specific information and assist with case management through Salesforce.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, review proposals, and ensure proper documentation and filing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
