Job summary

BODE, Inc. in Londonderry, NH is seeking a Junior Construction Estimator to support commercial project takeoffs, pricing, and estimating. The role trains with experienced team members and helps prepare estimates for Sales Operations review and proposal release.

Based in a small, family-owned environment with a 4.5-day workweek, you will gather data, request quotes, and maintain organized bid documentation while learning plan-reading and cost estimation skills. Office-based with local site visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
• Construction, purchasing, or sales support experience is preferred.
• Basic math and measurement skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn plan reading and estimating is preferred.
• Basic Excel, Outlook, and computer skills. Takeoff software experience is a plus.
• Dependable, organized, and comfortable asking questions, following instructions, and working with a small team.

Responsibilities

• Review plans with guidance, prepare basic quantity takeoffs, and flag unclear or missing information.
• Prepare basic material and labor cost worksheets using company templates and approved rates.
• Request vendor and subcontractor quotes, follow up on responses, and record pricing and lead times.
• Prepare draft estimates and proposals for Sales Operations review; update them as directed.
• Keep drawings, quotes, takeoffs, and bid deadlines organized; communicate missing information or delays promptly.
• Assist with routine sales support and occasional site visits with an experienced team member to verify measurements and conditions.

Junior Construction Estimator

Position Summary

The Junior Construction Estimator prepares basic takeoffs, gathers pricing, and drafts estimates for commercial construction projects. Experienced team members provide training and guidance. Sales Operations reviews and approves estimates and proposals before release.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
