Allegiance Group is looking to add a Junior Estimator to its preconstruction team in Chicago. This is an excellent entry point for someone early in their construction career to develop estimating skills, gain exposure to diverse commercial projects, and progress within a supportive environment.

The role offers structured training, mentorship from senior estimators, and a clear path into Estimator roles supported by a growing commercial portfolio.

Competenze

• 0–3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related role.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience with a General Contractor is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of construction drawings, materials, and methods.
• Familiarity with estimating software like Bluebeam, PlanSwift, OST is beneficial.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.

Mansioni

• Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Support senior estimators with bid preparation and submissions.
• Identify potential project risks, cost-saving opportunities, and scope gaps.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation and historical cost data.
• Collaborate with project managers and preconstruction teams throughout the bidding process.
