Job summary

TDH Welding & Fabrication LLC is seeking a Junior Estimator to join our office in Chesapeake, VA. You will gather steel scope specs, read blueprints, and build project estimates, performing quantity take-offs and material summations.

You will also solicit trade partners and help prepare bid documents for the Lead Estimator. Preferred candidates have an associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering and at least some exposure to construction or materials management.

About the Company

We're hiring a Junior Estimator to work in our new office in Chesapeake, VA. TDH Steel is a Structural Steel & Metals Fabrication company headquartered in Chesapeake, VA with offices in NC and SC.

About the Role

You will be gathering steel scope specs, reading blueprints, and building project estimates. You will complete quantity take-offs and summation of materials. Additionally, you will solicit trade partners, obtain bid estimates for drawings/detailing, and help prepare, organize and coordinate Request for Proposal documents for the Lead Estimator.

Pay range and compensation package

Base range for this role is $55,000 to $60,000 annually. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience. Benefits are included and you must have authorization to work in the US. We do not offer sponsorship for this role.
