Job description

SPK/Lewis is a full-service Construction Manager and General Contractor. Since 1989, SPK/Lewis has specialized in the coordination and control of interior construction for prestigious Manhattan commercial properties; banks, brokerages, corporate headquarters and retail spaces. Our estimating department is growing, and we are looking for a Junior Estimator to support our estimating team.

This is an ideal role for someone who is eager to learn the estimating process hands‑on, and become a key component of a tight‑knit team.

Responsibilities

Assist in reviewing bid drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid forms.
Distribute bid packages via Procore and manage follow ups with subcontractors.
Attend pre-bid walkthroughs.
Maintain and assist in revising standard operating procedures, templates, and internal tools.
Work closely with estimating team to learn the full process, gradually taking on ownership of defined portions of each bid.

Ideal Candidate Profile

1-3 years of experience in construction estimating, construction management, architecture, or engineering.
Strong attention to detail.
Self-driven, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in Excel and comfortable learning other platforms.
Ambitious and eager to grow, with the discipline to thrive in a support-focused role.
