Job summary

USG Water Solutions, LLC in Perry, Georgia, seeks an Entry-Level Project & Estimating Engineer to support bid and project administration for water tower coatings renovations. This role targets soon-to-graduate or recent engineering/construction management graduates.

You will assist with cost estimates, prepare submittals, and help manage documents, with travel to sites and collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
• Expected graduation within the next 12 months.
• Internship, co‑op, or academic project experience related to construction, estimating, project management, engineering, or contract administration is preferred.
• Interest in construction bidding, project coordination, and contract documentation.
• Interest in process improvement, digital tools, and applied AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Bid Review and Scope Development: review plans, specs, bid documents, and contracts; identify requirements; assist with scope development; evaluate risks and compliance.
• Estimating and Risk Assessment: support cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors; participate in risk assessment and identify pricing gaps.
• Technical Submittals: prepare submittal packages; coordinate data and certifications; track status and records.
• Project and Contract Management Support: assist with pay apps, change orders, RFI, and closeouts; maintain project files.
• Department Tools and AI Solutions: help develop estimating tools and AI workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Communication and Relationship Building: engage with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers; maintain clear communication.
