Job summary

Inspired Title Services is seeking an Escrow Post Closing Auditor to join our team supporting Taylor Morrison’s title company. You will review and audit closed files, ensure compliance with guidelines, and prepare final policies and closing packages for delivery to lenders and parties involved.

The role requires at least two years of escrow experience, Texas licensing eligibility within 30 days, and strong communication, integrity, and computer skills (SoftPro, RamQuest, ResWare).

Job Details

As an Escrow Post Closing Auditor working for Inspired Title Services, a builder affiliate account to Taylor Morrison’s title company, you will be responsible for all post-closing functions, including auditing the file to ensure all requirements have been met/satisfied, appropriate documentation has been obtained and is documented in the file, and for the preparation of final policies in accordance with final markup and pro forma, and delivery of same to the appropriate parties to the transaction.

What You’ll Do
  • Review, verify, organize and audit closed title files to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with company and regulatory guidelines
  • Communicate with appropriate parties to resolve questions and concerns regarding title file
  • Review and verify documents relative to all curative matters, including satisfactions and releases
  • Review/ verify names on contract, buyer identification, vesting, completion of notary acknowledgements, legal descriptions, and lien information, and record documents via Simplifile
  • Review Simplifile recording fees collected are accurate versus amount collected
  • Disburse file
  • Prepare receipts/deposits for all funds received from customers and/or lenders
  • Send and receive funding authorization from the lender
  • Balance the file, disburse all funds and verify outgoing wire transfers
  • Prepare and copies for disbursement and closing transmittals
  • Prepare and ship closing packages: Verify that documents are properly signed by all parties
  • Prepare documents for recording with various counties, while ensuring documents meet recording regulations
  • Verify legal descriptions and acknowledgements
  • Distribute recorded Deed of Trust to the lender
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Sound Like You?
  • Two (2) years of escrow experience
  • Texas applicant only: Required to have an Escrow License or must be able to obtain one within 30 days from hire date
  • Must be of high integrity, technical competence and high moral character
  • Strong communications skills – written, verbal, and listening
  • Highly proficient level of computer skills in title production and closing software (e.g. SoftPro, Ramquest, ResWare) including spreadsheet, word processing, and power point
  • Proficient in using communication tools such as phone and computer, including Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to manage key timeframes and strict deadlines
  • Deliver outstanding customer service through clear verbal and written communication, collaborating effectively with both internal and external customers
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

This position is considered a non-exempt position for purposes of wage-hour law, which means that you will be required to keep a time record and will be eligible for overtime pay.

Physical Demands:
