TRC Companies, Inc. in Concord, CA is seeking a junior Environmental Scientist to join our Engineering, Construction, and Remediation practice. The role focuses on developing technical skills to support environmental consulting services.

This position primarily assists with field inspections, documentation, reporting, coordination, and compliance activities related to stormwater management programs under supervision of senior managers, with opportunity to work across a diverse regional team.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in stormwater inspection/management or environmental consulting.
• Ability to prepare clear and accurate field notes and reports.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% local travel for fieldwork.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct stormwater inspections at construction, industrial, and municipal sites.
• Assist with compliance evaluations related to stormwater permits and regulations.
• Document field observations, site conditions, and potential compliance issues.
• Collect stormwater-related field data and support sampling activities.
• Prepare inspection reports, compliance documentation, and technical summaries.
• Maintain records of inspections, actions, and follow-up activities.
• Assist in development of SWPPPs and LCANs and related documents.
• Identify corrective actions and track deficiencies to resolution.
• Perform other environmental inspections including SPCC and tank inspections.
• Support non-stormwater projects including investigations and reporting.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulators; follow health and safety practices.
