Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. in Oakland, CA is seeking an Early-Career Environmental Engineer to work within our contaminated site assessment and remediation practice. You will apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges and develop business skills crucial for a consulting career.

Responsibilities include field sampling, data evaluation, report writing, and collaborating with project teams. A Bachelor's degree in geoscience or engineering is required, with EIT and advanced degrees preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in geology or environmental, civil, or chemical engineering (required).
Advanced degree in the same (preferred).
Engineer in Training (EIT) (preferred).
Regular field work and overnight travel (required).
Health and Safety, first aid, CPR, and other training provided.

Responsibilities

Fieldwork: soil, vapor/air, surface water, groundwater sampling, drilling, oversight, treatment system operation.
Support well installation, aquifer testing, groundwater monitoring.
Support data evaluation, maps, tables, figures.
Prepare technical reports, letters, plans, and proposals.
