Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants in Raleigh, NC, seeks an Early-Career Environmental Remediation Engineer or Geologist to support site assessment and remediation tasks across disciplines. The role welcomes either engineering or geology backgrounds and emphasizes applying academic knowledge to real-world projects.

Responsibilities include field sampling, data analysis, groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, report preparation, and regulatory compliance support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology or environmental, civil, or chemical engineering is required.
• Advanced degree in the same field is preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Fieldwork and occasional overnight travel are required.

Responsibilities

• Fieldwork such as soil, surface water, groundwater, and vapor intrusion sampling, drilling oversight, aquifer testing, geophysical investigations, remedial implementation, and/or remediation system operation.
• Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation.
• Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation.
• Geologic and hydrogeologic data analysis; groundwater modeling and 3D data visualization.
• Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
• Environmental management support including due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting.
