Job summary

Anchor QEA is seeking a junior Environmental Engineer for our Syracuse, NY office. The role supports environmental engineering projects, conducts field investigations, and assists in preparing reports, designs, and cost estimates.

Travel is possible within the northeast region and occasionally elsewhere in the United States. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, have 0–2 years of related experience, and show initiative, attention to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of related environmental engineering experience.
• EIT certification is preferred.
• Experience with Python or R is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support environmental engineering projects through analyses, field investigations, and construction oversight.
• Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, and calculations.
• Assist with data evaluation and reporting (sampling plans, investigation reports, design reports).
• Support multidisciplinary projects involving remediation and infrastructure.
• Perform environmental sampling (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, biota).
