Job summary

Anchor QEA, in Syracuse, NY, hires a Junior Environmental Engineer to support environmental projects including reporting, calculations, and fieldwork. The role covers sampling, design support, and data analysis with growth opportunities in a collaborative team.

The candidate should have a degree in environmental or civil engineering, 0–2 years of experience, and familiarity with NYS regulations; EIT and programming skills are a plus. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of related environmental engineering experience.
• Familiarity with NYS environmental regulations and DER-10 is preferred.
• EIT certification preferred; programming in Python or R is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide support through engineering analyses, field investigations, and construction oversight.
• Prepare design drawings, technical specs, cost estimates, and calculations.
• Assist data evaluation and report writing (sampling plans, investigation and design reports).
• Support multidisciplinary projects involving remediation and infrastructure.
• Perform environmental sampling (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, biota).
