Job summary

Eastern Research Group, Inc. (ERG) is seeking enthusiastic junior engineers, scientists, and technicians to support EPA ORD research projects in a fast-paced lab and field environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, testing, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering and scientific disciplines. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals aiming to gain experience on decontamination studies, air quality research, and measurement

Qualifications

• As stated: B.S. degree or related field; relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Strong analytical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills with interest in science and air quality.
• 3+ years of on-site EPA ORD research support experience.
• Experience in authoring scientific, technical, QA, and health & safety documentation.
• Hands-on lab, technical, or engineering project experience.
• Knowledge of EPA source test methods, air quality monitoring, and emissions measurement equipment preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel for field projects nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, and testing of new processes or experiments under guidance of senior staff.
• Support preparation of technical reports, data analysis, and project documentation.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, and repair laboratory and field equipment and instruments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement engineering or scientific solutions.
• Present technical findings and project progress to leadership or clients as appropriate.
