Job summary

Eastern Research Group, Inc. (ERG) is seeking enthusiastic entry-level engineers, scientists, chemists, and technicians to support EPA Office of Research and Development projects.

You will design, develop, and optimize research processes while collaborating with senior staff across multiple laboratories and shops. The role offers hands-on experience in environmental, mechanical, and chemical engineering with opportunities to contribute to air quality, emissions monitoring, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, mechanical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Hands-on laboratory, technical setting, or engineering project experience.
• Willingness to travel for field projects across the country.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and testing new processes or experiments under guidance of senior staff.
• Support preparation of technical reports, data analysis, and project documentation.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair laboratory and field equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions.
• Prepare project plans, schedules, and materials for execution.
• Present findings and progress to leadership or clients as appropriate.
