Job summary

Falcata's Product Solutions team in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and document embedded software for RF sensor products. The role focuses on C/C++ development, embedded Linux, and hardware-software integration under guidance from senior engineers.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in EE or CE, 0–2 years of experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years of professional software development experience.
• Coursework or project experience with C or C++.
• Understanding of software development principles and version control.
• Ability to read technical docs and interface specifications.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, integration, verification, and testing of embedded Linux software.
• Develop and maintain C/C++ software for embedded platforms.
• Create software interfaces for hardware devices, sensors, and networking protocols.
• Develop Python- and Bash-based scripts to support testing and automation.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and documentation.
