Job summary

ESCO Maritime Solutions seeks an Electronics Test Technician to support testing and troubleshooting of electronic products for naval defense applications in the United States. The role requires reading schematics, setting up equipment, and providing technical assistance to assemblers.

Candidates should have 2+ years in electronics, a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred), and must be eligible for export authorization where required. Domestic and international travel possible.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the electronic/electrical industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot electronic products to component and sub-assembly level utilizing schematics and standard procedures.
• Read drawings and schematics.
• Set up test equipment and follow test procedures.
• Provide technical assistance to assemblers.
• Keeps workstation, tools and equipment in a neat and orderly manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test and troubleshoot electronic products to component and sub-assembly level utilizing schematics and standard procedures
• Ability to read drawings and schematics
• Set up test equipment and follow test procedures
• Use test and measurement equipment including voltmeter, oscilloscopes, Hi-Pot meter, IR meter, power supplies, milliohm meter, LCR, and other automatic and standard test equipment
• Provide technical assistance to assemblers
• Recommends process improvements if necessary
• Utilizes written or visual instructions as needed
• Provides written and/or oral communication in reference to test and troubleshooting findings
• Keeps workstation, tools and equipment in a neat and orderly manner
• Compliance with Quality Management System procedures

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in the electronic/electrical industry
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization

Desired Skills:

• Associate or bachelor's degree desirable
• Power conversion/power supply experience desirable
• Must be able to read and interpret schematics and/or diagrams
• Safety driven individual
• Experience with Analog and Digital power circuits
• Self- starter with excellent communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Some travel required. Domestic and International

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for long periods of time while performing a multitude of tests
• Bending and kneeling to wire power equipment
• Ability to carry approximately 35lbs of tools

Compensation Information

Base Salary Range: $25.00 - $28.00 USD (Hourly)

Please note, this is the expected compensation however, ESCO Maritime Solutions considers many factors in determining compensation prior to offer, such as: responsibilities and scope of role, candidate's work experience and education related to position, applicable certifications or trainings, business and market conditions.
