Job summary

EMA is seeking an early-career Electromagnetic Effects Scientist I (Aerospace & Defense) in Lakewood, CO to model electromagnetic energy effects on aircraft and spacecraft. You will run simulations, support testing, and prepare results for aerospace primes and tech companies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Coursework in electromagnetics and differential equations.
Strong analytical skills and curiosity about hard technical problems.
Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort working directly with customers.

Responsibilities

Build and run numerical models of electromagnetic effects, such as lightning, EMC, and RF propagation
Analyze simulation and test data and explain what it means for the customer's design
Support testing and measurement work when projects call for it
Write technical reports and prepare client presentations
Work with engineers and scientists across teams on project execution and on improving our workflows
