Job summary

Booz Allen is seeking a Junior CAD Drafter in the United States to prepare electro-mechanical drawings and documentation, developing design specifications and detailing dimensions, materials, and procedures. You will communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy of drawings and models.

Ideal candidates have mechanical CAD experience and proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD, along with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical 3D modeling and 2D computer-aided drafting (CAD).
• Knowledge of dimensioning and tolerancing for 2D drawing development.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling techniques and best practices.
• Ability to support SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD.
• Ability to develop technical documentation, including 2D technical drawings, bills of material, and associated written technical documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with an integrated product team, including a variety of technical and non-technical teammates.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electro-mechanical technical drawings and documentation.
• Develop detailed design specifications for products and structures and specify dimensions, materials, and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality and accuracy of drawings, models, and other written deliverables.
