Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a Junior Electrical and Telecommunications Engineer to support electrical power distribution, lighting, telecom, and security systems design.

You will work with licensed engineers and staff to develop drawings, calculations, specifications, and design documents for federal, industrial, and commercial clients. The role offers hybrid or fully remote arrangements based on location, with travel for site visits.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 1+ year experience in electrical/telecommunications engineering design.
• 1+ year DoD/government contracting experience.
• FE certification obtained or pursued within 12 months.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Understanding of NEC/NFPA/IEEE/ANSI/TIA/UFC codes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design of electrical power distribution, lighting, telecom, and security systems.
• Prepare and modify construction drawings and specs using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Support electrical system studies and equipment selection.
• Apply NEC/NFPA/IEEE/ANSI/TIA/UFC codes under supervision.
• Coordinate designs with project managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in site investigations and client meetings.
