Job summary

BGE, Inc. is seeking a Junior Electrical Power Engineer to support electrical engineering solutions for energy services projects, including utility infrastructure, renewable energy, and substations.

The role works under senior staff, prepares calculations and drawings, and contributes to safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy solutions while benefiting from mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 0 to 2 years of electrical engineering experience preferred.
• Coursework in power distribution, low- and medium-voltage systems, grounding, backup power, lighting, equipment specs, and electrical infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical engineering design and production of deliverables for energy services projects.
• Prepare LV/MV design documents including single-line diagrams and load calculations.
• Support power system studies (short circuit, load flow, arc flash) and interconnection studies.
• Draft technical reports, calculations, specifications, and cost estimates for senior review.
• Ensure deliverables meet codes, standards, and client requirements.
