Job summary

Elite Executive Solutions in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Junior Electrical Estimator to join our client’s team in Sorrento Valley. This is an early-career role designed to grow estimating skills within a collaborative, experienced group.

You will assist with preparing accurate, competitive electrical project estimates, review drawings and specs, perform quantity takeoffs, and help manage bid documentation and deadlines. DOE. This position is on-site in Sorrento Valley.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of electrical construction or estimating experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and estimating software is preferred.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing detailed estimates and bids for electrical construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost determinations.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Assist with bid preparation, scope reviews, and proposals.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and project walkthroughs as needed.
• Identify potential scope gaps, risks, and cost considerations during the estimating process.
• Maintain organized estimating documentation and historical cost information.
• Collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, and operations teams.
• Support project handoff from estimating to operations after award.
• Stay current on material pricing, labor considerations, and electrical construction market conditions.
