Job summary

Amentum seeks a Jr. Electrical Engineer for its Hanover, Maryland office. You will support planning through final design on complex projects under supervision, producing calculations, studies and drawings per project criteria.

You will interact with multiple disciplines, vendors and clients while developing robust electrical designs. The role requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 1+ year of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year of electrical engineering experience with calculations and design docs.
• Experience with power system analysis, including load flow and short-circuit.
• Knowledge in creating one-line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience sizing electrical equipment; basic power systems knowledge.
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD; strong technical writing and oral communication.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD TS//SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations, studies, and drawings through completion.
• Contribute to initial planning through final design for complex projects.
• Interact with other disciplines, vendors, and client representatives.
