Job summary

Newcomb & Boyd, LLP is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to support the design and analysis of MEP-T systems under close supervision. You will engage in drafting, calculations, and documentation to aid project delivery while participating in meetings with senior engineers.

The role emphasizes learning, accuracy, and timely task completion within project workplans, with limited client interaction and primarily office-based work, plus occasional site visits for progress reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
• EIT certification preferred or in progress.
• Entry-level professional with supervision.
• Familiarity with Revit and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of MEP-T systems.
• Perform basic calculations and simulations under guidance.
• Review submittals and shop drawings with senior staff.
• Draft responses to RFIs for review by seniors.
• Conduct site visits under supervision to assess progress.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Participate in internal project meetings and provide tech support.
• Stay current with industry trends in MEP engineering.
• Submit work for review before client delivery.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
