Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to join the Fed-Florida Business Unit. You will contribute to interior and exterior lighting, power distribution, fire alarm and life-safety systems, and related design tasks across campus and industrial environments.

You will support project teams, perform calculations, participate in cost analyses, and assist with field support and construction administration.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering degree required from ABET-accredited program.
• Up to five years of professional Electrical Engineering experience.
• EIT Certification preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Should have working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ANSI, UFC codes (FBC/ASME/AFMAN/SSMAN preferred).
• Experience with CAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Project Support: assist engineering teams from concept to testing and delivery.
• Collaboration: build relationships with clients, coworkers, suppliers, and partners.
• Documentation: maintain design specs, test plans, and progress reports.
• Communication: relay information clearly to customers and teams.
• Quality control: support project QC programs and adherence to standards.
