Job summary

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer (EMI)-Junior to support Electromagnetic Environmental Effects. The salary range of this position is $78,600.00 - $102,900.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

The role involves working in the IBST Department’s E3 facility, performing EMI/EMC tests, instrument calibration, and documenting results for DoD projects at Patuxent River, MD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field may qualify.
• 1 year of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Experience with EMI/RF lab test equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Receivers, Antennas, Amplifiers, Multimeters).
• Experience reading schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supports EMI/EMC testing per MIL-STD-461.
• Prepares and installs System Under Test (SUT) in shielded enclosure.
• Verifies SUT operation and defines failure criteria.
• Performs test setup and calibration per standards.
• Develops test documentation and presents results to customers.
