Job summary

UT-Battelle's Oak Ridge National Laboratory seeks an entry-level Electrical Engineer to support the Electrical Power Conversion Group in the SNS accelerator complex. You will help operate, maintain, and upgrade high voltage modulators, magnet power supplies, and beam choppers, ensuring high availability and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Solid understanding of analog and digital circuits and electric circuit theory.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and enhance performance of HV converter modulators, magnet power supplies, kicker, and chopper systems.
• Provide accelerator operations support to maintain SNS neutron production availability.
• Plan, manage, and execute maintenance and upgrade projects.
• Use work control tools to conduct activities efficiently.
• Develop design, installation, testing, maintenance, and procurement documentation.
• Specify, develop, and procure subsystems and components.
• Present work at conferences, collaboration meetings, and sponsor reviews.
