Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or Associates in electrical-related field, or 1–3 years of electrical designer experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and able to tackle several projects in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Designs and prepares drawings for electrical systems for building projects under supervision of a licensed professional electrical engineer.
• Attends meetings with owners, clients, and architects; prepares and distributes meeting notes.
• Conducts site surveys to determine existing facility conditions or proposed conditions.
• Assists the design team in coordination with other disciplines (architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, civil, etc.).
• Accompanies senior staff on site visits during construction to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specs and codes.
• Helps prepare punch lists and project observation reports.
• Attends internal and external trainings to gain knowledge in technical areas.
• Participates in industry organizations and events.
• Upholds owner advocacy philosophy and company values.
