Job summary

Built For Growth Digital is seeking a Junior eCommerce Consultant with a passion for digital retail and a drive to master the technical and strategic side of the industry.

You will lead hands-on Shopify builds, site updates, and project lifecycles to ensure storefronts are high performing and technically sound, while coordinating with designers and clients for seamless delivery and optimization.

Qualifications

• University degree (2:1) or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands-on Shopify experience: navigate Shopify admin, manage products, modify theme settings.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple workstreams without losing sight of details.
• Excellent spoken and written English; comfortable presenting plans to clients.
• Technical literacy: comfortable with data, spreadsheets, and basic logic-based problem-solving.

Role Summary

Built For Growth Digital is looking for a Junior eCommerce Consultant with a passion for digital retail and a drive to master the technical and strategic side of the industry.

Our clients are ambitious retailers leveraging our expertise to scale. In this role, you won't just be suggesting ideas; you'll be the hands-on lead for Shopify builds, site updates, and project lifecycles, ensuring our clients' storefronts are high-performing and technically sound.

Key Duties

Shopify Development & Store Management

• Store Builds & Updates: Executing Shopify store setups, theme configurations, and routine site updates to improve UX and functionality.
• App Integration: Installing and configuring Shopify apps to extend store capabilities (loyalty programs, reviews, subscriptions, etc.).
• Technical Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving front-end issues or app conflicts within the Shopify environment.

Project Management & Coordination

• End-to-End Delivery: Managing the project lifecycle for site migrations, new feature rollouts, and seasonal campaigns - ensuring delivery on time and to spec.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Acting as the bridge between clients, internal designers, and developers to ensure requirements are clearly translated into action.
• Task Tracking: Using project management tools to maintain clear workflows, documentation, and progress reports.

eCommerce Trading & Operations

• Tactical Execution: Actioning email marketing, promotions, SEO updates, and complex product data migrations.
• Performance Analysis: Analysing data to interpret site performance, identifying friction points in the conversion funnel.
• Asset Coordination: Working with designers to ensure creative assets meet technical requirements for Shopify themes and marketing channels.

Essential Criteria

• Relevant University Degree (2:1) or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands-on Shopify Experience: Proven ability to navigate the Shopify admin, manage products, and modify theme settings.
• Project Management Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams without losing sight of the details.
• Communication: Excellent spoken and written English; comfortable presenting plans to clients.
• Technical Literacy: Comfortable with data, spreadsheets, and basic logic-based problem-solving.
• Drive: Demonstrable proof of enthusiasm, initiative, and a "self-starter" mindset.

Desirable Criteria

• Shopify Customisation: Knowledge of Liquid, HTML, and CSS for deeper theme customisation.
• Automation & APIs: Familiarity with Shopify APIs and integrations
• Marketing Tech Stack: Awareness of Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, and Meta Business Suite.
• PM Tools: Experience with tools like Asana, Notion
