Job summary

Fairwinds Technologies seeks early-career engineers to apply DSP theory to radios, RF systems, embedded platforms, and test environments. You may support xG or Mixed Signal teams and work on internal product development or customer-funded research.

You will model, implement, test, and measure signal-processing capabilities alongside DSP, FPGA, RF, software, and test engineers, gaining exposure from concept to measured performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field, completed or expected before start date.
• Experience with DSP concepts including sampling, convolution, Fourier transforms, spectra, and SNR.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Simulink, and/or GNU Radio for modeling and analysis.
• Ability to translate algorithms into practical software/FPGA implementations and collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, simulate, analyze, and test DSP algorithms for communications, sensing, RF, and signal-conditioning applications.
• Model signals and automate analysis using MATLAB, Python, Simulink, or GNU Radio.
• Collaborate with software/FPGA engineers to translate algorithms into embedded software or FPGA implementations.
• Create repeatable test methods, reference models, and data-processing workflows.
• Assist with system integration, testing, and documentation for product and customer-funded activities.
