Location: Norwalk, CASchedule: Friday - Monday, 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM (or as determined)About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Diesel & Equipment Mechanic to join our growing maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and gain hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. You will work alongside experienced mechanics and learn valuable techniques in a supportive environment.Responsibilities:- Assist senior mechanics with vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues.
- Learn to repair and maintain tank-related equipment.
- Assist in performing Federal DOT and State BIT inspections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Utilize company software for record-keeping.
- Adhere to all safety regulations (OSHA, etc.).
- Learn and apply welding and fabrication techniques.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Technical training or relevant coursework in diesel mechanics required.
