The Department of Radiology at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, part of Columbia University Irving Medical Center, is seeking a junior clinical diagnostic medical physicist to join our clinical medical physics group, serving NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and offsite locations.

The successful candidate will report to the Chief of Medical Physics, with a salary range of $120,000–$140,000 and opportunities for growth.

Formación

• MS or PhD in medical physics, radiological physics, or a related field.
• NYSED licensure in diagnostic medical physics or eligible within one year.
• Board certification in diagnostic medical physics by the ABR or eligible for Part II.
• MQSA certification preferred.
• Clinical experience in diagnostic imaging quality assurance.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct acceptance testing, periodic diagnostic x-ray equipment testing, and QA surveys across modalities (CT, mammography, general radiography, fluoroscopy, MRI, ultrasound).
• Oversee radiographic QA programs and contribute to ACR accreditation.
• Prepare equipment testing records to comply with NYC-DOH, NYS-DOH, MQSA, FDA, TJC, ACR, etc.
• Assist with CT/MRI protocol optimization, dose tracking, and MRI safety practices.
• Engage in educational activities and train staff on phantom scans and QA.
