Job summary

VIATEQ Corporation is seeking a Junior DevSecOps Engineer to support a federal civilian agency. The role focuses on DevSecOps integration, application security testing, vulnerability management, and security tooling within CI/CD pipelines, with hybrid/remote options as approved.

The ideal candidate has foundational knowledge of secure SDLC, CI/CD, and application security, and is eager to grow in a mission-driven federal IT environment under senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a computer science or related field or equivalent
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in software development, DevOps, DevSecOps, application security, or a related field, including internships or entry-level federal experience
• Foundational knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD, and application security testing methodologies
• Ability to obtain and maintain government background investigation as required for federal work

Responsibilities

• Assist with DevSecOps integration into CI/CD pipelines and security tooling
• Support SAST/DAST and API security testing activities and report findings
• Assist with vulnerability management, scans, and remediation tracking
• Administer and maintain security tools and CI/CD security configurations
• Assist with cloud security posture management and security documentation
