Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Software Engineer, DevSecOps Engineering I for the Aguadilla, PR site. The role focuses on supporting data engineering, CI/CD, and secure software delivery across hybrid work arrangements, with 3 onsite and 2 remote days per schedule.

You will help implement containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, develop automation scripts, and contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code practices while promoting secure data handling throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required.
• Strong communication in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to program/contract information.

Responsibilities

• Support CI/CD pipeline development for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Research and evaluate DevSecOps tools for automation and containerization.
• Integrate scripts and small apps into existing pipelines for enhanced flow.
• Develop basic Python and Bash scripts for integration and automation tasks.
• Contribute to frameworks that automate testing, provisioning, and software delivery.
• Assist in containerizing applications using Docker and Kubernetes under guidance.
• Support Infrastructure-as-Code practices to maintain consistent environments.
