Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Aguadilla, PR, onsite five days a week, is seeking a software engineer to join a dynamic team supporting aerospace programs. You will help define system requirements, translate them into software specifications, and model using UML/SysML to support a large-scale program.

You will develop and integrate software to meet customer and certification standards, collaborating with engineers across disciplines, and delivering robust implementations for testing environments while

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Educational knowledge and project application in software development using Python, C++, or similar.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and common tools like Git, Gitlab, Jira.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English.
• U.S. citizenship and active/transferable DoD security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements and translate them into software requirements, UML/SysML models, and diagrams for a large program.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to ensure clear communication and cohesive solutions.
• Develop code that meets customer needs and certification standards, ensuring functionality and compliance.
