Job summary

The Kasper Group, a fashion industry leader, seeks a Junior Designer to support product development from concept to line sheet updates. You will sketch, create detailed Illustrator drawings, produce tech packs, and assist with trend boards while coordinating samples with overseas vendors.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in woven design, proficiency in Illustrator and PLM, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Fashion or BA in related science.
• 2-3 years of professional experience in woven category.
• Proficient in Illustrator & PLM.
• Strong technical knowledge to create tech packs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in product development at all stages under guidance of designers: sketching, detail illustrator sketches, tech-packing (proto stage), trend presentation brochures, presentation boards.
• Coordinate samples: check in proto and sale samples, track, organize and archive.
• Maintain fabric assortment and library for each season; update as needed.
• Assist in generating and updating line sheets in Illustrator.
• Understand customers by doing market research; develop knowledge of customer and competition.
• Shop retail floor for new silhouettes and details; adhere to due dates for all design stages.
