Job summary

KnitWell Group in New York, NY is seeking an Assistant Designer to support the Designer across seasonal collections, fabrics, and colors that uphold the brand identity. You will help develop concepts, prepare line reviews, color boards, and flat sketches while collaborating across teams.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Design with 1–2 years' design experience, strong sketching, color trend ability, and proficient Photoshop, Illustrator, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent.
• 1–2 years’ design experience preferred.
• Strong sketching and illustration ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of design spec sheets and flats.
• Contribute to line concept development with fabric and color boards.
• Prepare presentation boards for Spectrum and Concept presentations.
• Assist in line assortment building for cohesive collections.
• Attend fittings and record detailed notes.
• Maintain design archives and logs.
