Job summary

Carrier and Company Interiors seeks a detail-oriented Junior Designer in New York to support Principals and Senior Designers through all design phases.

You will prepare AutoCAD drawings and elevations, assist with Adobe Creative Suite presentations, and create project documentation and schedules. Collaboration with vendors, consultants, and internal teams will be essential to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy.

Qualifications

• Support Principals and Senior Designers through all phases of the design process.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD for drawings and elevations.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite for presentations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare AutoCAD drawings, floor plans, elevations, and other technical drawings.
• Assist with presentation preparation using Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Create and maintain proposals, purchase orders, specifications, and project documentation.
• Maintain finish and furniture schedules and assist with client selections.
• Research products, furnishings, finishes, fixtures, and materials.
• Request pricing, estimates, and lead times from vendors and trades.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding orders, deliveries, samples, and logistics.
• Assist with project installations and site visits as needed.
• Maintain organized client files and project notes.

• Support Principals and Senior Designers throughout all phases of the design process, from concept development through installation
• Prepare AutoCAD drawings, floor plans, elevations, and other technical drawings
• Assist with presentation preparation using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Create and maintain proposals, purchase orders, specifications, and project documentation
• Maintain finish schedules, furniture schedules, and client selections
• Research products, furnishings, finishes, fixtures, and materials that align with project goals
• Request pricing, estimates, and lead times from vendors, manufacturers, and trades
• Coordinate with vendors regarding orders, deliveries, samples, and project logistics
• Assist with project installations and site visits as needed
• Maintain organized client files, project notes, and digital documentation
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy
• Communicate professionally with internal team members, vendors, and consultants
