A progressive interior design, architectural, and graphics firm has an immediate opening for a Junior Interior Designer with 1-4 years of experience, specializing in commercial/corporate interiors.
The opportunity exists for you to shape and grow within a collaborative studio environment while contributing to a strategic design process and delivering highly creative, well-detailed projects. This role offers the opportunity to work across interior design, architecture, signage, and graphics while developing your skills throughout the design and documentation process.
Responsibilities:
- Participate as a member of a project team through the coordination and delivery of project concepting, design development, detailing, documentation, and construction.
- Assist with the development of interior design concepts, presentations, materials, and 3-D studies.
- Support the preparation of construction documents and project documentation.
- Engage and coordinate with engineers and other design consultants.
- Assist with tracking project schedules and design milestones.
- Participate in project meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams.
- Attend and assist with project site visits and client meetings as required.
- Collaborate across disciplines, including Interior Design, Architecture, Signage and Graphics, and Landscape.
Requirements:
- 1-4 years of experience in architectural or interior design, documentation, and/or contract administration, preferably within commercial/corporate projects.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field required.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a studio environment while also working independently.
- Strong design and visual communication skills.
- Ability to create compelling 3-D presentations.
- Rendering proficiency with strong documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
- Skilled in Excel, Word, and Photoshop.
- Ability to coordinate documents prepared by consultants.
- Knowledge of construction documentation and the design process.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- High passion for design and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to engage in an integrated design process incorporating Interior Design, Signage and Graphics, Architecture, and Landscape.
