Job summary

Lexi Westergard Design is seeking a Junior Designer to support multiple luxury residential projects from concept through installation. You will work closely with senior designers, develop floor plans and elevations, coordinate with vendors, and help keep timelines on track.

The role offers hands-on experience across design development, sourcing, and client-facing presentations in a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment near Mesa.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in interior design.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Proficiency with Google Drive and Slack; experience with project management or procurement software (e.g., Studio Designer, Houzz Pro) is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stay detail-focused.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Located 30 minutes from Mesa; willing to travel for projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the design team through every phase of a project, from concept to installation.
• Formulate design solutions independently under the guidance of the Senior Designer.
• Build and maintain spec schedules.
• Get pricing and quotes for furnishings and build materials.
• Prepare quality presentation materials and support the team ahead of client meetings.
• Take initiative to problem-solve, prioritize tasks, and keep projects moving on schedule.
• Communicate clearly and confidently with vendors, subcontractors, and the internal team.
• Take meeting notes and help track and distribute action items.
• Help manage project timelines and flag potential delays.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and manage the Studio material library.
• Order and track samples, including fabric, tile, stone, and paint.
• Create and update floor plans, elevations, and space planning layouts.
• Assist with furniture installations.

Lexi Westergard Design is a full-service luxury interior design studio specializing in custom builds, large-scale renovations, and complete furnishings for high-net-worth clients in Arizona and nationwide. We take on a limited number of projects each year and stay closely involved from concept through final installation.

We are growing, and we are looking for a Junior Designer who wants to build a long-term career in residential design. You will move between multiple projects at once, supporting our designers at every stage of the process and gaining exposure to how a luxury interior design studio really operates behind the scenes. Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is/has:

2+ years of experience working in interior design

2+ years of experience with AutoCAD and SketchUp, with strong proficiency required

Strong working knowledge of trade vendors and sourcing channels

Proficiency in Google Drive and Slack, experience with project management or procurement software (e.g., Studio Designer, Houzz Pro, or similar) is a plus

Highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects at once

Confident, clear communicator who can be assertive with vendors when needed

A collaborative mindset and genuine excitement to grow within a design team

A reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for installs

Located 30 minutes from our Mesa studio, with willingness to travel for projects
