We are currently seeking a Junior Designer for our Austin studio. The Junior Designer, working under the supervision of a senior Designer or Project Manager, performs a variety of drafting and design tasks.

Requirements:

• Strong intermediate Revit skills.
• Graduate of architecture or design school; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 1+ year experience or relevant educational background, preferably in corporate interior design projects.
• Knowledge of color, materials, aesthetic form, space planning, furnishings, and equipment.
• Basic sketching, rendering, and interior architecture detailing skills.
• Working knowledge of construction documents and procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and basic Adobe Creative Suite skills.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop design ideas in collaboration with the team.
2. Assist senior designers with selecting fixtures and finishes.
3. Develop preliminary space plans under supervision.
4. Learn detailing and produce furniture & finish packages, including cost estimation.
5. Verify site details to support design, including field surveys.
6. Redline and correct drawings.
7. Support client assessment activities, including attending interviews and documenting using Affinity programs.
