Job summary

Ferrara/KME, premiere manufacturers of fire trucks, seeks an entry-level Design Engineer to assist in developing and testing fire apparatus components. You will work with CAD/CAE tools to create and review drawings, verify designs by calculations, and support manufacturing with robust engineering packages.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required in engineering or engineering tech.
• 0–2 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Able to work in a general office and plant floor environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing and developing minimum complexity products/components.
• Use CAD/CAE to develop structural designs and create drawings.
• Verify designs using calculations and analytical tools.
• Understand manufacturing processes and apply DFM principles.
