Job summary

All Native Group, a division of Ho Chunk Incorporated, seeks a Junior Data Scientist to support a Federal Agency enterprise data management and analytics program at Arlington and Merrifield, VA. This role involves ML model development, NLP on unstructured data, and data preparation, with opportunities to grow in a high-impact federal environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in data science or related field; coursework or project experience in NLP or ML.
2+ years of experience with Python, R, or SQL.
Experience with structured and unstructured data.
Familiarity with data visualization tools.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities

Support the development, training, and evaluation of ML/AI models under supervision.
Apply NLP techniques to extract and enrich unstructured data.
Prepare data, test models, and document results to expand entity extraction.
Cleanse and prepare structured and unstructured data for model development.
Build data visualizations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
