Job summary

All Native Group, a division of Ho Chunk Incorporated, seeks a Junior Data Scientist to support a federal enterprise data management and analytics program. The role involves developing ML models, data preparation, and applying NLP to unstructured datasets within a high-impact government environment.

Security clearance (DEA) is required for employment. The position is full-time and based at DEA facilities in Arlington, VA and Merrifield, VA.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Python, R, or SQL.
• Exposure to machine learning concepts, including model training and evaluation.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, training, and evaluation of machine learning and AI models under the direction of the Analytic Lead and senior data scientists.
• Apply NLP techniques to extract and enrich unstructured data.
• Assist in expanding entity extraction by preparing data, testing models, and documenting results.
• Cleanse and prepare structured and unstructured data for model development.
• Build data visualizations that communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
