Guidehouse in Arlington (VA) is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to help clients unlock data value through visualization, dashboards, and analytics. You will design dashboards in Tableau, clean data with R, and support data-driven decision making for DHS-related projects.

Responsibilities include maintaining analytics tools, handling ad hoc requests, and contributing to internal initiatives while communicating complex topics clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with R and Tableau (Tableau for dashboards).
• Strong communication and ability to present to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with data cleaning, visualization, and BI reporting.

This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data querying and wrangling to data engineering, to data visualization, dashboarding, and business intelligence (BI), to predictive analytics. This individual will support organizational and mission goals within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This role requires hands on technical expertise and strong communication skills.
