Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a data analytics consultant to join our AI and Data Defense and Security team to help clients maximize data value, build dashboards, and automate analytics across data sourcing, wrangling, viz, and BI to support DHS missions.

The role requires hands-on skills with Tableau, R, Python, and strong communication to translate complex topics for non-technical stakeholders. Travel up to 10% and a federal/public trust clearance process are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS PUBLIC TRUST before onboarding.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience with R and Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of data visualization and dashboard solutions to provide required analytics insights using Tableau
• Leading and reviewing data cleaning scripts using R and Python
• Maintain and enhance dashboards, analytics solutions, and reporting tools used in operational and strategic decision-making
• Balance competing priorities including to supporting quick turn and ad hoc requests
• Focus on client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development

What You Will Do:

Our consultants on the AI and Data Defense and Security team help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data querying and wrangling to data engineering, to data visualization, dashboarding, and business intelligence (BI), to predictive analytics. Our services enable our clients to define their information strategy, enable mission critical insights and data-driven decision making, reduce cost and complexity, increase trust, and improve budget justifications and decision-making. This individual will support organizational and mission goals within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This role requires hands on technical expertise and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design and development of data visualization and dashboard solutions to provide required analytics insights using Tableau
• Leading and reviewing, data cleaning scripts using tools such as R and Python
• Maintain and enhance dashboards, analytics solutions, and reporting tools used in operational and strategic decision-making
• Balance competing priorities including to supporting quick turn and ad hoc requests
• Focus on client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development

What You Will Need:

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred

What Would Be Nice to Have:

• Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences
• Experience working with hiring or operational data
• Strong UI/UX capabilities for dashboard development
• Experience with financial data
• Experience with Databricks
• Ability to gather requirements and present to clients with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and tools for data integration

The annual salary range for this position is $74,000.00-$124,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
