Tyson Foods is seeking an IT Data Engineer I in Springdale to build foundational data skills. You will develop SQL-based pipelines, write Python scripts, and gain exposure to cloud data services while learning data governance and AI-assisted development practices.

Under supervision, you will support ingestion, transformation, and quality processes, contributing to ETL and data modeling efforts. This role emphasizes collaboration, logging, testing, and evolving data solutions within a team.

Formación

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.
• Preferred IT Certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner, Google Cloud Digital Leader, Azure Fundamentals, Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals.
• Experience: Less than one year of relevant or practical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver low‑complexity data engineering tasks as part of a team.
• Work under direct supervision; receive instructions, guidance, and direction from others.
• Scope: Team.
• Develop and maintain SQL-based data pipelines, ensuring efficient ETL processes.
• Write Python scripts to support data transformation, ingestion, and automation tasks.
• Develop foundational skills in data serialization formats (e.g., JSON, CSV, Parquet, Avro).
• Learn foundational data warehousing concepts, basic data modeling, and data architecture.
• Assist in applying data classification standards and identify data sensitivity levels under guidance.
• Support data governance, data quality, and privacy activities, including PII handling and retention policies.
• Escalate potential data exposure to senior engineers.
• Use Git for code/config changes, including branching and PRs.
• Gain exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud data services.
• Develop awareness of containerization concepts and deployment of pipelines.
• Learn basic data testing and validation practices for pipelines.
• Assist in implementing logging and monitoring for pipelines.
• Collaborate with team and stakeholders to understand requirements for data solutions.
